Nothing proprietary

Is 14 too late to start?

Fourteen is exactly who this was built for. The founders' own cat started at fourteen. Owners of the oldest cats consistently report the most visible difference — because the gap we're filling has had the longest to grow. Individual results vary.

Will they actually eat it?

It's a chicken-flavored powder, not a pill and not an oil. It disappears into wet or dry food. In our April 2025 survey of 2,400 cat parents, 96% said their cat accepted it on the first bowl. And it's a powder for a reason: many older cats have tender teeth. There's nothing to chew.

What if it doesn't work?

Then it's free. Try it for 30 days — if you don't see a difference, email us and we refund every cent, even on an empty bag. No return shipping, no forms.

The real reason cats slow down

It’s not age. It’s what’s missing from the bowl.

In the wild, a cat eats the whole animal — and every part does a job. That’s the system a cat’s body is built around. About seventy years ago, we replaced it with a commercial food — and cats have been quietly running short ever since.

Raw whole-prey nutrients
01

A cat can’t make this itself

Taurine comes from heart muscle. Glucosamine and chondroitin from cartilage. Omega-3 from organ fat. A cat’s body makes none of them — it has to eat them, from the animal itself.

Dry commercial cat food kibble
02

Processing strips it out

To make a commercial food that keeps for two years, it’s extruded at high heat. Heat is precisely what degrades taurine, omegas and the fragile nutrients a cat can’t produce on its own.

03

So they slow down

Not sickness — shortfall, over years. The jump becomes a plan. The coat dulls under your hand. The day fills up with sleep. We call it old age. It’s often the bowl.

We’re told 12–15 is a normal life. A well-nourished cat can reach 20+
Meows daily scoop
The daily fix

Meows fills the gap.

One scoop a day of the wild-prey nutrients the commercial food cooks off — 400 mg chondroitin for the joints, plus taurine, omega-3s and probiotics. You’re not treating an illness. You’re giving their body back what it was built to run on.

One scoop. The whole second half.

Meows doesn't replace their food. It completes it.

One chicken-flavored scoop a day puts back the wild-prey nutrients processing cooks off — 400mg of chondroitin for the joints, taurine for the heart and eyes, marine omega-3s for the coat, probiotics for a gut that absorbs less than it used to, and the cellular trio (NMN, CoQ10, Calcium-AKG) for the energy systems that slow first. You're not treating an illness. You're giving an older body back the raw materials it was built to run on.

Fluffy cat next to Meows M-1 bag in a sunlit kitchen

Twelve nutrients. Six systems. One scoop.

Built for the systems aging leans on hardest.

1 · Joints & Movement

  • Chondroitin 400mg
  • Glucosamine 50mg

The cushion between the bones, and the raw material to maintain it. 400mg of chondroitin is the headline dose in this bag — most adult multivitamins carry trace amounts.

Joint anatomy — joint support

2 · Coat & Grooming

  • Fish Oil (Omega-3) 300mg
  • Vitamin E 30 IU

The shine comes back from the inside. Marine omega-3s — the form a cat can actually use — plus vitamin E for the skin underneath.

Hair follicle anatomy — coat & grooming

3 · Heart & Eyes

  • Taurine 200mg
  • Second-half daily
  • Beyond the food's baseline

The one nutrient a cat cannot make herself, and she spends a little of it with every meal. Two hundred milligrams, every day, on top of whatever her food delivers.

Heart & eyes — taurine support

4 · Gut & Immune Defense

  • Probiotic Blend 1 Billion CFU
  • L-Lysine 200mg

An older gut absorbs less from the same bowl. A billion CFU to support the absorption everything else depends on, plus L-lysine for normal immune function.

Intestinal microbiome — gut & immune defense

5 · Kidneys, Liver & Urinary

  • Cranberry Extract 100mg
  • Milk Thistle 100mg

The organs that never complain until they do — and the first things a senior workup looks at. Cranberry for the urinary tract, milk thistle for the liver, and daily background support for the kidneys carrying an older cat's hardest workload.

Heart, liver & kidneys — organ support

6 · Cellular Energy

  • NMN 50mg
  • CoQ10 50mg
  • Calcium-AKG 50mg

The same three compounds at the center of human longevity research, dosed for a cat. This is what “longevity formula” means: support for the cellular energy systems that slow down first — and take everything else with them.

Mitochondria — cellular energy

“...exactly what I look for when recommending long-term support to my clients with senior cats.”

“Meows M-1 is one of the most comprehensive feline supplements I’ve reviewed. The combination of CoQ10, milk thistle, and bioavailable omegas at clinically meaningful doses is exactly what I look for when recommending long-term support to my clients with senior cats and cats prone to inflammatory issues.”

The story behind the scoop

My cat stopped jumping on the fridge.

Mars is a Bengal. He's mine. For eight years he cleared the top of the fridge in one jump — until he didn't. He started going up via the counter, and I called it him mellowing out.

A few months later I could feel his spine under my hand when I stroked him. He was still eating. The bowl still emptied. I called it him getting older.

One afternoon at the vet we found three things at the same time: degenerative joint disease in the hips. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Kidney markers already elevated. He was eight years old.

The plan was "keep him comfortable." I drove home with him yowling in the carrier the way he always does, and somewhere on that drive I stopped accepting that plan.

Months of reading led me to the sentence I couldn't get out of my head: older cats don't stop eating — they stop absorbing. Same bowl, less in. And when the bowl runs a deficit, the body borrows from the only reserve it has left. Muscle. The spine I could feel was Mars eating himself to stay alive.

I built Meows M-1 because six supplement bottles on my counter wasn't a system. Nothing on the shelf did the job of what a cat actually eats in the wild — because nothing on the shelf was built for the deficit.

Mars is ten now and he is doing better than ever.

What's Inside Every Single Scoop

Simple daily dosing

Each bag: 30 scoops — a one-month supply for one cat.

Sprinkle one scoop onto wet or dry food, once a day, ideally morning. It’s a powder: nothing to chew, nothing to swallow whole, no wrestling. Many older cats have tender teeth — this was designed with that in mouth… and mind.

One scoop a day — results, mapped

The senior transformation, mapped.

Not a promise. A pattern. Here’s what thousands of Meows parents report, in order, as the daily dose compounds.

01
Cat happily eating from a bowl at breakfast time Week 1

They dig in like it’s Christmas.

Before: half-eaten bowls, picky sniffs, a cat who wanders off mid-meal.

Week 1: they’re at the bowl before you finish scooping. Cleaner litter. Brighter eyes at feeding time. The first thing that comes back is the interest.

02
Cat with glossy coat in golden window light Week 4

The coat everyone comments on.

Before: flaky patches, dull fur, hairballs on the rug every week.

Week 4: the fur feels different under your hand. Shinier in daylight. The vet notices. Your mother-in-law notices. The coat is back.

03
Cat mid-leap onto a bookshelf Week 8-12

The bookshelf is back on the map.

Before: the countertop was the ceiling. Chair heights only. Watching from the floor.

Now: they’re at the windowsill again. Zoomies at 3 a.m. Joints firing, curiosity back on. The half jump becomes a jump. They’re moving again.

04
Adult cat curled peacefully in warm sunlight Year 1

The years you can’t buy back.

Before: quiet decline. Vet visits with worried faces.

Year 1: kidney markers steady. Coat still shining. Still zooming. This is the version of your cat you’ll want more time with.

Helps with anxiety too maybe?

Not sure if related but my anxious cat seems calmer since starting. The probiotics maybe? Either way her coat, energy, and mood have all improved together.

My picky boy approved

I was so worried he would refuse it because he turns his nose up at like 90% of things. Not a single complaint, eats around it sometimes but mostly eats it right up. And he is clearly feeling better.

C

Works for picky eaters

Honestly the best thing about this is my picky girl actually eats it. Results otherwise have been modest. Coat slightly softer, less hairballs. Three stars because of the eating ease alone.

his bald spots filled in!

He had stress patches that wouldn't grow back fully. I am not exaggerating when I say they have nearly filled in completely after about 7 weeks on this. I am floored.

Almost canceled the consult

My 12 year old had been having mobility issues so bad I had booked an orthopedic consult that was going to cost thousands. A coworker said before you go try this supplement for 60 days. I figured what could it hurt. By day 50 my cat was moving like she was 8 again. I canceled the consult and saved a fortune. She still has good and bad days but mostly really good. Worth so much more than I paid.

Saved my carpets

Long haired cat in a small apartment was a recipe for hairball disaster. Since starting Meows about 6 weeks ago I have not had to clean up a single hairball stain. My security deposit thanks you.

Goodbye dandruff

She had little flakes throughout her black fur, especially in winter. Gone now. Coat is sleeker than ever and she stops scratching at her ears too.

Okay so far

Three weeks in and I see small changes but nothing dramatic. Will update if it gets better. Cat doesn't hate it which is honestly the bar I had set.

Her coat is unreal

I've had Siamese for 20 years and never seen a coat look this good. She used to have a slightly oily coat near her back and dry patches on her belly, both totally gone. She looks like a kitten again.

Daily ritual we both love

Every morning I scoop a little into Pippin's wet food while she winds around my ankles. She's been on Meows for about 5 months and the changes in her are so visible. Her tortie coat is more vivid and shiny. Her energy in the evening when we both come alive is unreal, she is a tiny tornado. Her hairball situation is basically zero. And I think she likes it because she licks the bowl clean which is new for her. It has become a little daily ritual that I look forward to as much as she does.

Bringing him back

His coat used to be so soft and over the last few years it got rough and patchy. Started this and within 6 weeks the fur on his belly and sides is silky again. I have a young cat in an old cat body again.

Hairballs improved, that's it

The hairball situation has gotten way better. Coat is the same, energy is the same. So mostly happy but it didn't do everything advertised for my cat.

Tiny scoop big results

It looks like such a small amount of powder but it really does the job. My cat's coat changed within weeks and his energy is way up. Plus the container lasts a long time.

From hiding under the bed to lap cat

When I rescued Pickles two years ago he was shy and skittish. He spent most of his time hiding and rarely sought affection. His coat was always a bit rough and he had a sensitive stomach. I started him on Meows hoping to address the digestion. What I didn't expect was for his whole personality to come out. As he started feeling better physically he became way more confident. He sleeps on my chest now. His coat is incredible. He actually plays. Sometimes I wonder if all that gut stuff was making him miserable for years.

Bye bye hairball mornings

Long haired cats and tile floors do not mix well. We were getting them daily and now its like once a week. I can finally walk to the kitchen in the dark without consequences.

We Want You To Question

Skepticism is healthy. Here’s everything we’ve been asked.

She’s 15. Is it genuinely not too late?
It’s not. The founders’ cat started at fourteen. What we hear from owners of the oldest cats is that the visible changes — coat, appetite, willingness to jump — are often the most dramatic, because the gap being filled is the widest. What we can’t do is promise; every cat is different, which is what the 30 days are for.
She’s on medication or prescription food. Can she take this?
Meows is a food topper, not a medicine — but with any cat on medication, prescription food, or under treatment, check with your vet before adding anything. Bring the label; every dose is printed on it, which makes that conversation a short one.
She barely has teeth left. Can she manage it?
Better than almost anything else you could give her. It’s a fine powder that disappears into wet food. Nothing to chew, nothing to bite through, nothing to swallow whole. Joint chews assume teeth. We didn’t.
She’s the world’s pickiest eater.
Chicken-flavored, mild, and it doesn’t sit on top of the food as an oily layer — it settles in. 96% of cats in our 2,400-owner survey accepted it on the first bowl. If yours is in the other 4%, the empty-bag guarantee exists for exactly her.
What does “longevity formula” actually mean? Are you promising more years?
No — and be suspicious of anyone who does. Nothing in a scoop can promise years. What this formula does is support the systems aging leans on hardest — joints, coat, heart, gut, cellular energy — at doses we print on the bag. The years are her business. Our job is the raw materials.
How is this different from Cosequin or a joint chew?
A joint chew is one job. This is six. Single-ingredient products assume the only thing an older cat is short of is one nutrient — but a body drawing down draws down everywhere. Twelve nutrients, six systems, every dose published.
I have two cats and only one is a senior.
It’s formulated for cats 7+ and safe for adult cats — a younger housemate stealing a lick is fine. For a multi-cat bowl situation, feed them separately so your senior actually gets her scoop.
When will I see something?
Honestly: often nothing for the first two weeks. That’s normal — you’re restocking a supply, not medicating. The typical owner-reported order is appetite first, coat around week four, movement after that. If day 30 arrives and you’ve seen nothing, that’s what the refund is for.
Is it safe long-term?
It’s designed as a daily, for-the-rest-of-her-life topper — ingredients are third-party tested for purity and potency, doses published. If your cat is pregnant, nursing, or has a diagnosed condition, ask your vet first. (Formulated for cats 12 weeks and older; positioned and dosed for 7+.)
